Chief Lyles retired from the Mississippi Highway Patrol in 2015 after serving 28 years. He has also been the warden of the Alcorn County Regional Correction Center. His police training includes Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) and many highway patrol-related certifications.
