As used in the common vernacular at this point, it could properly count as one of the most dangerous words in the English lexicon, serving much the same function as ethnically rooted languages that have a clear distinction between "We/The People/etc", and "Everyone Else" (with the latter being intermediate between "Human" and "Animal"). The assignation apparently causes over time irreversible alterations at a neurological level, which act as antagonists for species/tribe associated empathic identification and facilitate states ranging from callous to casually murderous.
